There are large pockets of undeveloped native bush that are home to an extensive array of birdlife including kiwi. The farm runs the length the Okari estuary with the Okari River on the northern boundary. Cape Foulwind area is one of the few remaining pockets of weka in New Zealand.

This unique, secluded spot offers you the best of New Zealand all in one!

You will be staying on a working dry stock farm which runs along the length of the Okari Estuary, the beach across from it is barely accessible by anyone other than from the farm. On the northern boundary the Okari River winds its way up through native bush. The back of the farm is native bush, one the last areas of northern rata podocarp forest left remaining.

The special unique location of the estuary could almost be regarded as your own private domain. Public access is extremely restricted, so you are very unlikely to ever encounter another soul. The beach adjacent to the estuary is 5km of seclusion protected at either end by rivers with no bridges.
